Shopper marketing
that connects

The decision to buy happens at the point of purchase. Everything that led the shopper there. The advertising, the packaging, the brand reputation – they mean nothing if the retail environment doesn’t seal it. Rise & Amplify designs shopper marketing that connects your brand to the moment of decision: in-store, on screen, and everywhere in between.

Where sales are won or lost

Where sales are won or lost

A shopper can walk past your product a hundred times before they ever notice it. Not because they don’t need it. Because nothing in the retail environment gave them a reason to stop.

Research consistently shows that the majority of purchase decisions are made at the point of sale. Shoppers are distracted, time-poor, and surrounded by competing messages. The brands that win at the moment of choice are the ones with creative that is clear, visually appealing, and built around how shoppers actually behave in that environment.

Shoppers make purchase decisions in under 7 seconds at shelf. If your brand isn’t instantly communicating who you are and why you’re different, you’re losing sales to one that is.

Shopper marketing is too often treated as the final adaptation, not the decisive moment. Brands stretch campaign assets into retail spaces they were never built for, or default to generic POS that disappears into the fixture – missing out on shoppers actively open to influence.

Shopper marketing done well is not a production exercise. It is a strategic one. It requires understanding the retail environment and the shopper mindset.

Shopper Strategy

Every effective piece of retail creative starts with a clear understanding of the shopper journey. Where does your customer enter the category? What are they looking for? What will make them stop, pick up, and buy?

We map the path to purchase and identify the moments where the right creative intervention will have the most impact. That thinking shapes the brief before any design work begins.

POS and Display Design

From shelf barkers and wobblers to full fixture takeovers and FSDUs, we design point-of-sale material that commands attention and communicates clearly in a busy retail environment.

Every format has its own constraints and opportunities, which is why we consider messaging adaptation, format, hierarchy and design from the start – creating retail creative built for the environment, not simply adapted from brand assets.

Retail Campaign Creative

Whether you are running a promotional mechanic, launching a new product, or activating a seasonal campaign, we create retail campaign creative that connects your brand message to the shopper at the right moment.

That means consistent, purposeful creative across every retail touchpoint; on shelf, at fixture, in aisle, and at the checkout.

Digital Screen Graphics

Digital screens in retail are one of the most underused assets in the shopper marketing mix. When the creative is right, they stop shoppers mid-aisle and drive measurable uplift.

We design digital screen content built for the medium: motion-led, message-clear, and optimised for the dwell time and viewing distance of the specific retail environment.

Shopper Toolkit Development

For brands working across multiple retailers or markets, consistency is critical. We build shopper toolkits that give your sales and trade marketing teams everything they need to activate the brand correctly across formats, retailers, and regions.

Who we work with

• Established Brands

Your identity and packaging are in good shape, but you need a specialist partner for retail activation. You have the brand sorted, so what you need now is creative that translates it into the retail environment. Something that genuinely works in-store and out-of-home.

• Challenger Brands

Brands going through a wider brand or packaging project that needs shopper marketing built in from the start. When retail creative is developed alongside the brand identity rather than after it, the results are sharper, more consistent, and more effective.

FAQs

Shopper marketing covers all creative and communication designed to influence a purchase decision at the point of sale. That includes POS and display material, in-store campaign creative, digital retail media, and retail toolkits. It is distinct from brand marketing. Where brand marketing builds awareness, shopper marketing converts it – engaging shoppers at every stage of the path to purchase, from first consideration through to purchase.
Yes. You do not need to be a branding or packaging client to work with us on shopper marketing. If your brand identity is already in place and you need a specialist partner for retail activation, we can work directly from your existing brand guidelines and focus entirely on the retail brief.
We design across the full range of shopper marketing formats: shelf barkers, wobblers, FSDUs, display units, fixture takeovers, aisle fins, digital screens, digital retail media and retailer-specific promotional creative. If it lives online or in-store and needs to influence a shopper, we can design it.
We work across the major grocery, convenience, and wholesale. We understand the specifications, guidelines, and commercial dynamics of working with large retailers, and we design creative that meets their requirements without compromising the brand.
The most effective shopper marketing is built on the same strategic and visual foundations as the brand itself. When POS and display creative are developed in isolation from the brand identity, the result is often inconsistent and less effective. Where possible, we recommend developing shopper marketing alongside, or directly informed by the wider brand and packaging work. That said, we work just as effectively from existing brand guidelines when the brief is standalone.
It depends on scope. A focused POS suite for a single retailer or campaign can move quickly – typically 4 to 8 weeks from brief to final artwork. A full retail toolkit covering multiple formats, retailers, and markets will take longer. We’ll scope it clearly before we start.
